Open Positions

We are currently hiring experienced Registered Nurses to provide professional, overnight in-home postpartum care for newborns and their families. The role focuses on delivering trusted clinical support, education, and reassurance during the early weeks after birth.

Night Owl Nursing was founded on the belief that professional postpartum care should be accessible to all families as they transition into parenthood. While pregnancy and birth are often well supported, postnatal care in Canada remains limited. Our role is to bridge that gap by providing evidence-based education, clinical care, and emotional support in the home.

  • As a Night Nurse with Night Owl Nursing, you will provide professional, overnight in-home postpartum and newborn care, supporting families during one of the most vulnerable and important stages of life. You will combine strong clinical judgment with compassionate, individualized care, allowing parents to rest while knowing their newborn is in expert hands.

You will work independently overnight while remaining connected to the Night Owl Nursing team, delivering reassurance, education, and hands-on care tailored to each family’s needs.

Who is a Good Fit For Night Owl Nursing?

They value autonomy.

Overnight shifts require confidence and composure. This role is suited to nurses who are comfortable working independently in quiet home settings, maintaining vigilance, and responding appropriately to newborn and postpartum needs throughout the night.

They are reliable.

Overnight care is often when families are most vulnerable. Your presence allows parents to rest, recover, and build trust in their newborn’s care while you support healthy routines and monitor infant wellbeing during uninterrupted sleep periods.
